We have been active in the Middle East market for over 20 years now, but 2018 was the first year that we decided to exhibit at the Dubai Wood Show. We are glad we did so. Not only was it the ideal place to meet with our existing hardwood clients from the Gulf region and far beyond, we were also able to meet new people and make new friends with wood professionals worldwide. The event succeeds as a gathering place for all the regional players in the timber industry.
Dubai WoodShow is a concrete tangible exhibition where customers move around and are interested in doing business on site. The attendance is diverse; from many countries in MENA, African countries and Pakistan, just the target we focus on.
Participating in the Dubai Wood Show for ten years now, we have seen it mature and develop in to the only focused trade event for the region’s wood sector. For our member companies, who are looking to export or are already exporting American hardwood lumber and veneer to the region, it has become a fixed event on their calendars and they have benefited hugely from the opportunity the show has given them to secure new business.

For a newly –established company who was barely into its 5th month of operations in the UAE when the event took place, venturing into the Dubai WoodShow was certainly a big leap for H O M A G Equipment Machinery Trading (HEMT). Malaysian Timber Council’s booth received quality trade visitors comprising of importers, interior designers, joinery workshops, carpentries and contracting companies. There were visitors from Pakistan, India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait indicates the popularity and effectiveness of WoodShow 2017 in sourcing timber related products. MTC booth also received visitors from Egypt, Iran, South Africa, Malaysia and the rest of the world during the exhibition.
